Ian Veneracion on bringing history to life in 'Drug War: A Conspiracy of Silence'
Director Shugo Praico is hopeful that the six-part series "Drug War: A Conspiracy of Silence" will be seen on the global stage, showcasing the power of Filipino storytelling. "When we conceptualized this, we recognized the need to tell this story not just in the Philippines but globally. It's a story na hindi dapat natin makalimutan at dapat marinig ng ating kababayan," said Director Shugo during a talkback session after the screening of the first episode at the Red Carpet Theater in Mandaluyong City recently. Director Shugo added, "We believe in Filipino talent. I believe na malakas ang ating storytelling. While doing this, we had an opportunity to learn about the excellence of our cast.
