World awaits: Jada Facer's heartfelt melodies cross borders
Singer-songwriter Jada Facer steps into a new chapter of her musical journey, as her emotionally driven releases and rapidly growing global audience come into focus across Asia.
With over 1.3 billion views on YouTube, alongside millions of fans across Spotify, Instagram, and TikTok, Jada has built a deeply engaged global following - now sharing her signature storytelling and emotional honesty with listeners across Asia.
For Jada, music has always been about feeling first, and everything else second. The 25-year-old singer-songwriter began writing and performing instinctively at age 8, drawn to storytelling to make sense of the world around her.
After first gaining mainstream exposure on the hit U.S. sitcom Melissa & Joey, where she played Joey Lawrence’s daughter, Jada quietly built her own universe online, sharing music that felt personal, unfiltered, and deeply human. That authenticity has since grown into a global audience, garnering over 1.3 billion YouTube views and millions of streams across platforms.
'i almost said...'
A key track from her debut EP Party Dress, “i almost said...” captures the bargaining stage of heartbreak - reflecting on the “what ifs” and unspoken words left behind after love fades.
Released on March 27, the song marks a defining moment in Jada’s artistry, highlighting her ability to translate deeply personal emotions into universally understood experiences.
Carried by a layered, emotionally driven arrangement, the track explores the ‘almost’ in love - the words left unsaid, the messages never sent, and the quiet weight of what could have been.
With its raw honesty and deeply relatable lyrics, “i almost said...” has connected with listeners worldwide, many of whom are drawn to its reflection of hesitation, regret, and unresolved emotion.
Positioned as a key narrative turning point within "Party Dress," the track bridges longing with reflection, deepening the project's emotional arc. With this release, Jada continues to carve out her space as a voice for emotionally honest pop — crafting songs that don’t just tell stories but quietly mirror the ones listeners carry.
Musical influences
Jada emphasized her commitment to authenticity in her storytelling, expressing her hope that this sincerity resonates in her music. She cited singer-songwriters Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran as her two greatest influences.
"Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran are my biggest songwriting influences. I also admire Death Cab for Cutie, particularly for their intricate and word-rich lyrics. They are incredible, so those three artists are my top inspirations.
"When I was 13, I tried to meet Taylor Swift. I even emailed her manager and invited her to a taping, but I've never met her—and I still hope to," she shared.
Jada also shared her excitement about attending Ed Sheeran's concert in July.
Reflecting on her transition from acting to music, Jada sees a strong connection between the two. "I feel like they go hand in hand. Many acting techniques I learned involved writing and music—they’re deeply intertwined.
"I do miss acting and would love to return to it someday. Right now, though, I'm focused on music—and I’m really happy about that. I don't think I ever closed any doors; I'm open to new opportunities. I stayed busy with acting until music began to take off," she said.
Jada expressed her excitement about meeting incredible musicians through collaborations.
"I've done covers, but I don’t have a particular favorite. Collaborations are usually the highlight for me because they allow me to connect with amazing musicians."
She revealed that she’s known pop star Sabrina Carpenter since childhood. "When we were very young, we used to talk on YouTube. We've known each other since we were little kids, and watching her career blossom has been amazing."
'Party Dress'
Jada’s debut EP “Party Dress” unfolds as a five-part emotional journey — from love and longing to heartbreak and acceptance. Each track represents a distinct stage: “i almost said...” captures bargaining, while “Toothpaste” reflects the fragile optimism before it all falls apart.
Following the release of “i almost said...” on March 27, Jada continues her storytelling journey with her upcoming single: “Toothpaste” - featuring Jonah Baker, set for release on April 24.
Positioned as the pre-heartbreak chapter of her EP narrative, “Toothpaste” captures the fragile optimism of love before it unravels, offering a poignant contrast to “i almost said...”.
Joining her on the track is Jonah Baker, a singer-songwriter known for his stripped-back, emotionally resonant sound and a global audience built through deeply personal performances online.
Sharing a similar sensitivity in storytelling, the collaboration feels less like a feature and more like a meeting point between two artists who understand the quiet weight of emotion.
Together, they bring a new dimension to the story - one that expands Jada’s sonic world while deepening the emotional core that defines her music.
Jada’s music has always lived in the in-between - in the words left unsaid, the moments that linger, the emotions that don’t quite resolve.
Now, that story finds its way to Asia.
In a region that embraces vulnerability and quiet storytelling, her songs arrive not as something new but as something instantly understood. A reflection of shared emotions across different places and lives.
As she steps into this next chapter, Jada will continue to meet her audience where they are: through conversations, content, and moments that feel as personal as the music itself, wherever it’s heard. Aside from the Philippines, Jada visited South Korea and China for her Asia promotions.
