Crowning connections: Miss Universe China's historic Philippine visit



Miss Universe China is making history as she delves into Philippine pageantry during her official visit, gaining firsthand insight into the country’s vibrant and celebrated pageant tradition.

Recognized as one of the most influential powerhouses in pageantry, Miss Universe Philippines warmly welcomed Miss Universe China’s National Director, Owen Chue, and Miss Universe Asia 2025, Zhao Na, with exceptional hospitality. The delegation engaged in meaningful cultural exchanges and gained a profound appreciation for Philippine heritage, traditions, and tourism.

“On behalf of the Miss Universe China organization, I extend my warmest welcome and sincere gratitude to all our steadfast supporters,” said Owen Chue, National Director of Miss Universe China.

Since founding Miss Universe China in 2023, the team has visited several countries. “It’s not just about travel—it’s about spreading love, charity, and the mission of Miss Universe,” Owen Chue reflected.

At the press conference, Queenie of the Miss Universe China Organization expressed her appreciation and optimism for the growing partnership between China and the Philippines within the Miss Universe community.

Meanwhile, Miss Universe Asia 2025 Zhao Na expressed her joy and admiration during her visit to the Philippines.

“I have always admired the Philippines for its excellence and passion for pageantry,” Zhao Na shared.

Distinguished guests from Miss Universe China will attend the upcoming Miss Universe Philippines coronation night on May 2, 2026. Their presence will elevate the celebration, making this year’s event especially memorable for both organizations.

Miss Universe China's visit to the Philippines underscores the organization’s desire to gain firsthand experience and deepen its understanding of the country’s pageant culture, renowned for its impressive production values, passionate audiences, and world-class candidates.
