ABS-CBN receives top honors at 2026 Gandingan Awards

 



ABS-CBN News received multiple distinctions for its development-focused content at the 2026 Gandingan Awards, including an award for senior reporter Michael Delizo.

Michael Delizo was recognized as Best Field Reporter for his consistent and impactful on-ground reporting, particularly in covering metro and security news focused on police and military affairs.

Several news programs were also recognized: “Tao Po” won Most Development-Oriented Magazine Program for its compelling human-interest stories, while “My Puhunan: Kaya Mo!” earned Most Development-Oriented Livelihood Program for its dedication to highlighting the Filipino entrepreneurial spirit.

NXT’s feature, “Reshaping the Future of Farming Through Renewable Energy,” was awarded Most Development-Oriented Online Video.

The Gandingan Awards, organized by the University of the Philippines Community Broadcasters’ Society, recognizes outstanding media practitioners, organizations, networks, schools, and programs based on an annual theme.
