ABS-CBN goes global amid rising international success of Filipino music

ABS-CBN marks a pivotal point for Filipino music on the world stage by unveiling a joint venture between ABS-CBN Music and ABS-CBN Global. Through ABS-CBN Music International (AMI), this strategic collaboration aims to spotlight Filipino artists internationally while fostering global talent exchanges with the Philippines.

The launch comes on the heels of BINI’s breakout success—a pop supergroup whose much-anticipated Coachella debut this year captivated international audiences and ushered in a new era for Filipino music in the global mainstream.

“We’re just grateful to be part of this family, of this movement,” shared BINI’s leader, Jhoanna Robles. Looking ahead, she added, “We hope to open more doors for Filipino artists, so our music and stories can be seen and heard around the world.”

For decades, ABS-CBN has shaped Philippine media and entertainment, nurturing generations of artists through labels like Star Music, Star Pop, and Tarsier Records. With AMI, the company moves forward, channeling its expertise onto the global stage and continuing to learn, collaborate, and grow with the international music community.

ABS-CBN Music International, the product of the collaboration between ABS-CBN Music and ABS-CBN Global, pursues a dual mission: elevating Filipino music globally and amplifying international talent within Filipino cultural spaces. Leveraging ABS-CBN’s worldwide reach, AMI seeks to build a cross-border flow of artists, content, and audiences.

“Filipino music is no longer emerging—it’s here,” said Jun del Rosario, head of ABS-CBN Global. “AMI enables us to build on that momentum, connecting our artists with global audiences and inviting diverse voices into the Filipino experience.”

“We’re creating a platform where Filipino artists can stand alongside the world’s best,” added Roxy Liquigan, head of ABS-CBN Music. “This is about visibility, collaboration, and cultural impact on a global scale.”

ABS-CBN Music International’s debut roster features artists like JMKO and Acoya, showcasing Filipino talent from around the world. Alongside a broader lineup—including BINI, BGYO, Maki, Maymay Entrata, and others—the venture aims to bring their music to wider audiences and reconnect them with listeners in the Philippines.

Supported by decades of storytelling and deep ties to Filipino communities worldwide, ABS-CBN Music International seeks to bridge Filipino talent from across the globe—bringing their music to international listeners and creating new opportunities for Filipino artists abroad to be discovered.
