GMA Network executives share industry insights at the Asian Academy Creative Awards National Winners event
GMA Network Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group, and President and CEO of GMA Films, Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes, together with award-winning screenwriter and GMA Public Affairs Senior Assistant Vice President Anj Atienza, shared their creative expertise and industry insights at the Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA) National Winners 2026 event held on May 14.
Gozon-Valdes and Atienza served as featured speakers at the roundtable discussion, “Spotlight Philippines: Local Stories, Global Opportunities.”
A respected media executive, Gozon-Valdes has long championed creative excellence throughout the Asia-Pacific region. As head of GMA Films, she has produced visionary stories such as the widely acclaimed "Firefly," “Green Bones,” and “Balota.”
Atienza, meanwhile, is a multi-awarded screenwriter. She penned "Firefly" and earned the 2025 AACA National Winner accolade for “Green Bones.”
The panel discussion, “Spotlight Philippines: Local Stories, Global Opportunities,” was moderated by AACA President and Emmy Award winner Michael McKay. Joining Gozon-Valdes and Atienza on the panel were Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) Chairman and CEO Jose Javier Reyes, Regal Entertainment Executive Producer and COO Keith Monteverde, and Rein Entertainment Co-Founder, President, and CEO Lino Cayetano.
Gigi Santiago-Lara, Vice President for Musical, Variety, Specials, and Alternative Productions at GMA Network Entertainment Group, welcomed invited speakers and guests to the AACA National Winners 2026. She was recently appointed as the Philippine Ambassador to the AACA.
