Aurora Music Festival at five: The ultimate OPM celebration

 


The Aurora Music Festival 2026 is all set to celebrate its milestone 5th anniversary at Clark Global City on May 2-3.

Launched as a bold vision to spotlight Filipino music, Aurora has grown into one of the country’s most anticipated annual music festivals. Now in its fifth year, Aurora continues to unite the biggest names in OPM, delivering a unique live experience where generations of Filipino artists share one massive stage.

To mark this milestone edition, the festival is pulling out all the stops. Headlining the two-day celebration are SB19 and IV OF SPADES, two of the most influential acts defining today’s Filipino music scene. Their performances are poised to be among the weekend’s biggest highlights, attracting fans from across the country.

Yet Aurora is more than just its headliners. The festival has become known for assembling powerhouse lineups of Filipino artists rarely seen together, transforming each edition into a celebration of OPM’s richness and diversity.

Over the past five years, Aurora Music Festival has established itself as an essential platform for Filipino artistry. Among them is global P-Pop sensation SB19, fresh off a hugely successful concert run that has propelled Filipino pop music onto the world stage. Joining them is IV OF SPADES, the genre-bending band whose distinctive sound and electrifying presence continue to captivate audiences, especially after their highly anticipated comeback concerts at the Mall of Asia Arena late last year.


Unfortunately, Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo will not be performing on May 2 due to health reasons.

Fans can also look forward to performances from award-winning folk-pop collective Ben&Ben, renowned for their emotionally resonant songs and sweeping arrangements, as well as alternative rock favorites December Avenue, whose anthemic tracks are staples in “hugot” playlists.

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Armi Millare adds another dimension to the lineup, her artistry and lyrical depth long earning her a place among the most respected musicians in the local scene.

The celebration continues with appearances from beloved OPM acts that have shaped Filipino pop culture across generations. These include the iconic SexBomb Girls, whose recent reunion concerts sparked a wave of nostalgia, and legendary rock bands Parokya Ni Edgar and Kamikazee, both famous for their high-energy live shows that always ignite festival crowds.

Completing the lineup is singer-songwriter Kitchie Nadal, whose timeless anthems continue to resonate with listeners, making every performance an unforgettable sing-along moment.

Marking its fifth year, Aurora is celebrating with a lineup and experience designed to be its biggest yet.

From sunset over Clark Global City to the final encore, fans can expect a weekend of unforgettable performances, vibrant festival energy, and the shared joy of celebrating Filipino music together.
