"Healthy Meals PH brings together a variety of nutritious options under one roof," shared founder Rodrigo Pelayo during a recent bloggers' lunch in Timog, Quezon City.


Pelayo said the restaurant serves meals with specific calorie counts for weight loss, weight gain, and the Keto diet.

"If you want real chicken, kare-kare, we have, but it's baked," he said.

Pelayo also said they use only natural ingredients in their dishes.


"We serve natural products. It's an advocacy. I'm a product of my products. We don't use mixes. When you order tamarind chicken, it's really boiled with tamarind. Sa itsura, our presentation is gourmet," he said.

Pelayo has been a lifestyle coach for almost six years, teaching people about weight management.

"People can buy the most expensive health supplements. But the problem is they cannot prepare their own food because they are busy," he said.


"Kung ano meron sa meeting, yun na lang. And wala kang makainan na healthy restaurants dahil puro fast-food," Pelayo added.

So, three years ago, Pelayo initially thought of Healthy Meals PH as a delivery service. "Then the restaurant opened in March 2018."

"You can talk to us on our Facebook page. We assess your food needs. Our concern is your allergens. Doon kami naka-focus because allergens can lead to an emergency," he said.


Again, Pelayo stressed Healthy Meals PH is not a diet delivery company.

"We assess through a scientific way so that we will be able to provide the food that you need based on your activities," he said.

Pelayo said that guidance is important when patronizing diet food. 


"Before, nag-order ako ng health food, pero hindi naman masarap. Hindi porke health food dapat bland na. And then nahilo ako sa kinain ko kasi walang nag-guide sa akin. Then I found out pambabae pala yung binigay nila sa akin," he recalled.

So far, Healthy Meals PH has branches in Congressional and Timog, both in Quezon City. 

But very soon, Healthy Meals PH will invade the malls. They will also invest in kiosks.


Pelayo said that Healthy Meals PH is also ready to introduce the vegan hot dogs and longganiza. 

"It's vegan, but it tastes like the ones being sold in supermarkets and groceries. So the kids can also have a sample of Healthy Meals PH. Madalas ang alam lang nila kainin hotdog at longganisa," he said.
