Asia's Pop Sweetheart Isha Ponti unveils an album of love & self-discovery





Asia's Pop Sweetheart Isha Ponti marked her 20th birthday by launching her new studio album, “LIKAS,” with a celebration at Viva Cafe in Araneta City on June 20.
Isha's family and classmates from Enderun Colleges enthusiastically supported her as she performed songs from the album.
Kapuso actor Kelvin Miranda joined Isha on stage for her birthday celebration, where they performed a duet of “Mabagal.” Her father surprised her with a birthday cake, prompting the crowd to sing "Happy Birthday," while her mother and grandmother offered their warm wishes as well.

Isha's album "LIKAS" is an emotionally powerful and artistically crafted collection of songs that explore the realities of love, growth, healing, and self-discovery.
The title LIKAS represents Longing, Illusion, Kindness, Acceptance, and Self-love—five meaningful themes that form the heart of the album and guide the emotional journey within each song.
“This album is different. It’s about my personal experiences with love, dreams, and heartache. This is my story. It’s not about the seasons of life—it’s about experiences that might resonate with you,” Isha shared during a media conference on May 30. “There are different scenarios that happened in this album.”

Isha shared that although she has experienced heartbreak, she is currently single and focused on her dreams, career, and studies.
She often prays for guidance—both for her ambitions and for the arrival of someone special in her life.
Isha recounted a past relationship that she initially thought was an answer to her prayers but later realized was an illusion rather than true love, which led to personal pain and inspired her emotional song "Bakas."



Despite lingering traces of this relationship, Isha is moving forward and emphasizes the importance of kindness. In the end, she found self-love and realized that her prayers were actually for herself all along.
Written entirely by Isha herself, LIKAS stands as proof of her authenticity as a songwriter and storyteller. The melodies and arrangements were created in collaboration with renowned musical director and producer Adonis Tabanda, resulting in a sound that fuses modern OPM elements with timeless emotional depth.
At such a young age, Isha is already making her mark in the evolving landscape of Filipino music. Media outlets have recognized her as one of OPM’s most promising new artists, highlighting not only her vocal talent but also her exceptional ability to write songs that connect deeply with listeners.
