Binibining Pilipinas 2026 candidates strut at 'The Devil Wears Prada 2' special screening



Film and fashion converged on April 25 during the exclusive advance screening of “The Devil Wears Prada 2” at Gateway Cineplex 18, Cinema 11. Ahead of the screening, guests were treated to a fashion show featuring the Binibining Pilipinas 2026 candidates, who strutted the runway in elegant ensembles.

“This special screening is a celebration of storytelling, confidence, and creativity, the only way Araneta City knows how. By fusing cinema with the runway, we are honoring The Devil Wears Prada’s timeless influence on fashion and the Binibining Pilipinas’ heritage of empowering women,” said Irene Jose, Chief Operating Officer of Uniprom, Inc.

The advance screening of “The Devil Wears Prada 2” was organized in partnership with Disney Philippines. The collaboration continues its commitment to bringing premier film experiences to the community. audiences.

“This special screening of ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ marks another fruitful collaboration with Gateway Cineplex 18. Their Large Format Screen, paired with Dolby-Surround Sound, ensures audiences an immersive experience for such a highly-anticipated film,” said Press Play Pictures Philippines Managing Director Nicole Mariz Castillo-Deato.


Binibining Pilipinas candidates, guests, and the media saw the hotly anticipated sequel on Gateway Cineplex’s immersive large format screen with Dolby-Surround Sound. After the show, Binibining Pilipinas candidate no. 4, Trisha Irish Marie Rosales, shared the thrill of seeing the film in a state-of-the-art cinema.

“I’m a very big fan of The Devil Wears Prada. It’s a very big part of my formative years. I have poor eyesight, and so watching it on a very big screen, I felt like, for once, I was included. Not to mention the sound system, I really felt I was in the same [space as the characters.] It was very magical,” Rosales said.

The one-of-a-kind fusion took place five days before the official premiere of the much-anticipated sequel. “The Devil Wears Prada 2” will officially premiere on April 29 at Gateway Cineplex 18.


The sequel follows Miranda Priestly (played by Meryl Streep) and her difficulties against her former assistant-turned-rival, Emily Charlton (played by Emily Blunt), as they compete for supremacy in an evolving media landscape.
