Anne Hathaway shines amid controversy over beauty award

Hollywood star Anne Hathaway is facing a backlash after being named People magazine's Most Beautiful Woman of 2026.
The announcement has ignited debate online, with some questioning whether Anne truly deserves the title.
Several social media users claim Anne does not deserve the title, suggesting her looks are the result of plastic surgery.
Others have speculated that the star of "The Devil Wears Prada 2" has had cosmetic enhancements, attributing her beauty to surgery rather than natural features.

Anne, however, has denied having any plastic surgery. She expressed surprise at the magazine's choice, saying, “It was not something I ever, ever, ever expected. I just expect people to tease me about it.”
At 43, Anne remains one of Hollywood’s busiest stars. In addition to reprising her iconic role in "The Devil Wears Prada 2," she is set to appear in several other films this year, including "Mother Mary," "The Odyssey," "Flowervale Street," and "Verify."
Despite the backlash and rumors, Anne continues to thrive in her career, reminding everyone that beauty is subjective and public figures often face intense scrutiny.
