The Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI) honored Ms. Gloria Diaz, Miss Universe 1969, as the inaugural recipient of the Binibining Pilipinas Sisterhood Hall of Fame Award.  This recognition celebrates her groundbreaking achievement as the country’s first Miss Universe, marking a pivotal moment in Philippine pageantry history. The first-ever Binibining Pilipinas Sisterhood Hall of Fame Award honors the camaraderie, teamwork, and collective achievements of generations of Filipina women who have shaped the history and legacy of Binibining Pilipinas. Miss Universe Vietnam H'Hen Nie thanked her Filipino pageant coaches after she made it to the Top 5 of the 2018 Miss Universe beauty pageant held in Bangkok, Thailand last Dec. 17. "From the bottom of my heart, thank you very much, My Teacher Anjo Santos," says Nie on Instagram. Aside from Santos, her other pageant coaches were Gerard Ruivivar and Kim Rocafor. Santos, who was born and raised in Bicol, trained Nie in pasarela and make-up. He said that the national director of Miss Universe Vietnam approached him to train Nie. Santos and Rocafor trained Nie for the question-and-answer portion. Venus Raj received her master's degree during commencement rites at the University of the Philippines in Diliman, Quezon City last June 25 "Nagbunga na ang apat na taong pagsisikap.
