Regine Velasquez-Alcasid: Four decades, one finale
Asia’s Songbird, Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, will stage her final major solo concert at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on October 17 and 18. The concert, called “FINALE,” was announced via Instagram on May 1. No further details have been released. Now in her 40th year in the entertainment industry, Regine was named Billboard’s Woman of the Year for 2026. In a previous interview with Billboard Philippines, as cited by ABS-CBN, Velasquez said the milestone concert will commemorate her four decades in music. "Although I still have some projects next year, this will be my last big solo concert. ... I still have mga projects next year, and then eventually I retire... Sabi ng asawa ko, retirement means naman not really stopping altogether.
