More than 30 candidates have confirmed their participation at the Miss Tourism Asia International 2018 pageant which will be held in Manila later this year. Amy Sunio-Abarquez, CEO and President of Miss Tourism Philippines Philippines, Inc., says that the pageant is in search of global beauties who will help advance responsible and sustainable tourism worldwide. Amelia "Amy" Sunio-Abarquez, philanthropist and organizer of the Miss Tourism Philippines beauty pageant, has called on other beauty contest organizers to prove the people that they are for real and not just for show. "There’s so many pageant these days and it’s so hard to gain the trust of people. Sana dapat tayong mga involve sa pageants, hindi lang tayo dapat kumikita. Let us show them that our advocacy is for real," said Abarquez in an exclusive interview in Pasig City recently.
