Heart Evangelista's art and compassion touch the lives of children with thalassemia

In celebration of World Art Day this April, global fashion icon and Sparkle artist Heart Evangelista, together with fellow Sparkle artists, exemplified the Kapuso value of creativity by giving back to the community.
For Heart, art has always been both personally and purposeful. Her recent piece, “We Stand Together,” was created during a painting session with children from the Little Ark Foundation. The artwork was acquired by one of her supporters, with all proceeds benefiting children living with thalassemia—a genetic blood disorder that requires lifelong transfusions.

Heart expressed her gratitude to GMA for spending time with patients with thalassemia. She said, “I am thankful to GMA for focusing on these beautiful angels here today. It's very meaningful to me to share my presence and help however I can. Nandito lang kami para sa inyo. Thank you again—I give all the credit to GMA for hosting this.”
Her involvement is part of a long-standing commitment. Since the age of 21, she has used her platform and art to champion children with thalassemia.
Fellow Sparkle artists Shuvee Etrata, John Rex, and Ericca Laude also supported the children’s artworks, with proceeds going directly to the foundation.

The initiative concluded with Shuvee leading the handover of proceeds to support children with thalassemia and their families, with assistance from the Little Ark Foundation. Sparkle kid Ericca Laude was also in attendance.

A longtime supporter of the foundation, Shuvee shared, “When I first visited the National Children’s Hospital, I saw not just children, but hope. Now that I’m here again, I want to bring you hope and a bit of happiness. Even during my PBB days, I already knew about Little Ark and pushed to support the charity. Now that I’m out, I can do even more to help.”
